These self watering spikes are perfect for household plants. They aren’t too large and hold a standard water bottle with a screw top. They work well with succulents, ferns and vine plants.
Perfect for when you are going on vacation or when you can be forgetful (like myself)
Unfortunately, they can be a bit unsightly. I have one that is a cute hummingbird that you fill with water. These hold so much more water but isn’t very cute. Great if you have a tall or bushy plant though. They definitely work as a water system
These self watering plant spikes are fantastic! We just went away on a 5 day vacation at the end of August and first of September. We left these on the outdoor plants - attaches to bottles filled with water. We used both 2 liter bottles and 16 ounce bottles. There was still a small amount of water left in most of the bottles and the plants looked great! You do have to adjust them to get the right amount of water flow. They stayed in place and kept our plants alive! Very pleased!
This is just what the garden doctor ordered. This is perfect for keeping plants watered in the hot sun or while out on vacation. The threads on this are coarse, so this works with any regular water bottle. The valves are adjustable to let a lot or little water out your choosing. Excellent value given the included valves normally cost as much as the product itself on their own. Highly recommended.
These work really well, and are easy to use. I was shocked by how easy and how simple it was to set up and my plants are still alive and i don't do barely any work
It's good and perfect size. It's a hard to find item and it works great, it keeps the plants irrigated all the time and most importantly, the plastic bottles are recycled.
I actually drilled a small hole at the bottom, and as a bonus, the little valve actually adjust the flow to the root. Way cheaper than a glass bulb or anything else and works great.
Got all 12 of them going on some outdoor tomatoes and melons. Seem to be holding just fine. The valves are sensitive, and you really have to finesse them to get the perfect drip.. but it's not hard. I have a standard 16oz water bottle on a couple and a couple 24oz bottles on the rest.. no issues.
